About Chefventory

Our Mission

Chefventory was built to take the stress out of keeping track of what you have, whether that’s a restaurant walk-in, a home pantry, or a dorm fridge. Born in real kitchens, it blends professional know-how with everyday practicality so anyone can stay organized, cut down on waste, and cook with confidence.

The Problem We Solve

Every kitchen, big or small, runs into the same issue: figuring out what’s left and what’s missing. Keeping tabs on ingredients can feel like busywork, but it’s essential for saving money, planning meals, and avoiding last-minute runs to the store. Traditional inventory tools are made for businesses, not for real life. I decided to fix that.

My Solution

With Chefventory, you don’t need to type or tally anything. Just snap a quick photo of your shelves, cooler, or cabinet and the app uses AI to recognize ingredients, estimate quantities, and build a clean, editable list. From there, you can adjust items, create shopping lists, or even find recipe ideas based on what’s already on hand.

Made for Every Kind of Cook

Chefventory works anywhere food lives, from busy restaurants to apartment kitchens. It’s built for chefs, meal preppers, parents, and students who just want an easier way to see what they’ve got and what they can make next. No spreadsheets. No guesswork. Just clarity and inspiration in one place.

Who I Am

I’m the developer behind Culsi, a food safety and compliance platform, and Risky Bites, the restaurant inspection and transparency app. I’ve spent years in both the kitchen and tech, building tools that make real-life kitchen work easier, smarter, and more efficient. Chefventory is the next step in that mission: bringing powerful, chef-level organization to everyone who loves food, whether you’re running a restaurant or cooking at home.
